Coastal ecology and sustainability volunteering in Costa Rica

This May, volunteer on sustainabillity projects in Costa Rica for two weeks while learning more about coastal ecology. Apply to Go Global by February 26.
The program take place April 28—May 13, and is ideally suited to students wishing to gain an introduction to a topic while contributing to the community organization’s objectives through volunteer work.
During the volunteer placement, you will be working on projects in Costa Rica a local organization and a small group of UBC students. Led by a UBC facilitator and Roberto Solano Cordero, a local Costa Rican ecologist and educator, you will be working on a service project connected to the community’s goals for ecology and sustainable development while learning about the local area through daily facilitated discussions.
All students accepted to the program will be assessed to determine eligibility for a $1,000 International Service Learning Award.
