Welcome back to all continuing students and a warm welcome to students who are attending UBC Okanagan for the first time!
This blog is being written for, and distributed to students at UBC Okanagan who have identified themselves to the Disability Resource Centre (DRC), as individuals with disabilities. The DRC plans to send out a blog several times a year, probably in November, January, and March. We will keep you advised of new equipment available in the Centre, news from across the province and Canada dealing with issues of interest, current events at the University, etc. We welcome suggestions on what kind of information you would find helpful or interesting. If you have an article or item of interest to contribute, please submit it to us at least a month before the publication date. We also encourage students to contribute news clippings focusing on disability-related issues. We will keep a reference file of these news items for research use by students.
