A number of UBC venues and spaces are already included in the Map; come to find out how you can provide your own ratings on UBC and other sites. The link to the Map is www.globalaccessibilitymap.com.

Following a presentation, there will be an opportunity for discussion. Presenter: Dan DeBeyer is the Director of the Rick Hansen Global Accessibility Map.

Lime Connect Canada is a not for profit organization founded in 2009 that uses a fresh, results-oriented approach to connect people with disabilities and global corporations as an untapped source of talent.

Our corporate partners value the intellectual capital that is represented in candidates with disabilities, and have worked with us to integrate disability as a full component of their overall diversity strategy.
By the way, we know that one in five people globally has a disability, and that the large majority of disabilities are invisible – including ADD, dyslexia, depression, medical conditions and many others – and all individuals with disabilities are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
